(Re-, De-) Coding

The Alpha and Omega of the way of creation, representative for the two emerging Hungarian artists, Ádám Albert and János Fodor, is the (re-)using of generally accepted symbols and signs of the global pictorial language. Ádám Albert follows the rules of minimalistic aesthetics, but meanwhile a Babel of typographical and visual coding systems are re-used with a clear accent of formalistic preciseness. János Fodor is much more an “urban player”, closer to all clichés of pop-culture. On one hand, theoretically, his witty interpretations of symbolic forms of the everyday life, brings him closer to the former artist’s pictorial language. But the impression of universal unity could be formed only through the bipolar interaction.
